ATTFE Hub – New Year Window
Hand-painted New Year display
Project Overview
This hand-painted New Year window display was created for the ATTFE Hub, transforming the entrance into a bold and celebratory focal point to mark the start of 2026.
Designed to be eye-catching and instantly readable, the artwork welcomed learners, staff, and visitors back into the space with a strong visual statement.

The Concept
The design centred around large, balloon-style “2026” lettering, creating a sense of celebration and impact from a distance.
Supporting elements included:
-
Firework bursts in bright colours
-
Confetti-style details
-
Clean white line accents to enhance movement and energy
The composition was kept simple and central to ensure maximum visibility through the glass while maintaining a strong, uncluttered design.
Style & Approach
The piece was created in a bold, illustrative style with:
-
Thick, confident linework
-
High-contrast colours
-
Glossy, dimensional lettering
The inflated balloon effect added a playful and celebratory tone, while the limited colour palette kept the design clean and readable.

Process
-
Layout planning to centre the composition within the window
-
Development of bold, readable number forms
-
Hand-painted directly onto the glass
-
The design was carefully scaled to ensure it could be clearly seen from both inside and outside the building, without obstructing visibility.
The Outcome
The finished window created a strong visual entrance to the ATTFE Hub, setting a positive and energetic tone for the new year.
Its bold simplicity made it highly effective in a busy environment, standing out clearly while complementing the surrounding space.
Illustration at Scale
This project demonstrates how simple, illustration-led design can create maximum impact in real-world spaces. By focusing on strong shapes, clear composition, and confident linework, the artwork delivers immediate visual engagement.
